Reading A Good Book!

I just started reading a book that my mom got my for Christmas. Here is the title: Becoming Myself: Embracing God's Dream of You by: Stasi Eldredge.
So far I have gotten through the first 2 chapters, and no I am not a slow reader. I am taking my time with this book, being sure to underline things I like and taking notes in one of my notebooks about what the book is trying to tell me, and what God is trying to tell me. So far, I have found a lot of really good lines that have really touched me. My favorite one being: "I may disappoint, but I am not a disappointment. I fail, but I am not a failure." This line just has reminded me that I may do things from time to time that I fail at or I disappoint someone, but so does everyone else around me. The main thing to remember is just because that happens, does not mean that it defines me. I am NOT a disappointment and I am NOT a failure. There have been many other words that have touched me as well, so far. But I will post just a few things here and there as I continue to read this book. This is a good one for any other woman who is struggling with finding God's call for her, or even just needs some good reminders! This book is directed more towards women, so I recommend it for women. But I am sure men would maybe enjoy it, too! My hope is that God uses this book to touch me in some big ways and to really help to see clearer what it is he is calling me to do, and who it is he is calling me to be! Looking forward to this continuing journey!

If I Were to Be a Chapel Speaker...

Thinking back to being a student sitting in the seats of Holland Christian's auditorium during chapel, I remember hearing a lot of great speakers. Some were just funny, others had amazing stories that you could just never forget, and some just really hit home with the lessons they were teaching. I always really liked when past students of HC would come back to do a chapel and share things they have learned, it was always interesting to hear how far they had come in their lives. And I remember thinking to myself on occasion, "if I were to be asked to speak in chapel, what would I talk about?" I'M PREGNANT!! Currently 14 1/2 Weeks Along.

Woah, long time no post! Clearly, by the title, a lot has happened in the last months. So let me jump right on in. Well, as the title says, I am pregnant! My due date is December 12, 2020. I found out I was pregnant by taking an at home pregnancy test on April 10th. Matt and I began trying to get pregnant in February, after I had my IUD removed on January 31. We made the decision to start trying, because I honestly thought I was going to have a hard time getting pregnant and that it was probably going to take us a long time and a lot of trying, and that we might even need help. And I was basing that all on the fact that my cycle had always been irregular my whole life. I was diagnosed with PCOS at the age of 13, but was told it was most likely weight related and that if I lost my weight it would be fixed.
