Thanksgiving! SO THANKFUL!
Here is a very Happy Thanksgiving post to you all! As I sit here and think about everything I am thankful for, there is just so much that I am so thankful for.
First off, I am thankful for all of the wonderful people I have in my life. My family, my friends, and my coworkers. To my family, thank-you for loving me and supporting me and standing by my side through thick and thin. I know you all would do anything for me and I cannot thank-you enough for that. To my friends and coworkers(some of my best friends) thank-you, also, for loving me and supporting me, especially in my worst of times. I know, especially in the last month, I have not always been the most enjoyable person and I am sure you had moments where I dreaded seeing me walk in the door. But even if that were the case, you guys still hugged me, loved me, sat with me, let my cry on you, vent to you, talk to you, and work things through with you. You have helped me in so many ways. And, again, I cannot thank-you enough for being so amazing and loving me even when I am not the most lovable person and for supporting me during hard times. Seriously, I am blessed and I thank-you all and am so thankful for you all.
Second, I am thankful for each of my life experiences. The good ones, and the bad ones. For each experience has helped me learn and grow and become the woman I am today. Even my most recent bad experience. Though it has sucked, and I wish I never had to go through it, I am thankful for it, because I have learned, and I have grown. And I have realized so many things through it. I have learned to not let what someone else did to me to rule me. I have learned to gain power and control back. I have learned it is okay to ask for help and open to people to help me through things. And a lot of my other more difficult life experiences have also helped me to learn and grow and become a stronger, more confident, and independent woman. Again, though I wish I never had to go through them, they still were all big defining moments in my life that helped me to become the woman I am today. And I have learned so much along the way, that someday, I can help other people who are goin through similar circumstances and pay it forward by being the light to them in their dark time, that others were to me during my dark times.
Third, I am thankful for my job and my kiddos I get to love on every day. I absolutely love what I do. There is nothing that brings me more joy than seeing my joyous little kids and their smiles and zest for life. Even when they are being difficult, I still love them. Because I know they are learning and growing, and each of their hard moments are just part of that. But what makes it worth it is when they come up to you, give you a huge hug, or come snuggle up with you and say "I love you". What also makes it worth it is when you hear the kids talking about things they are learning and reciting things to you, because then you know you are doing your job right and they are getting what you are telling them. I also love the place I work, and the fact it is a Christian daycare and I get to work with so many wonderful faith-filled women who all love each other and come around each other to help out and love on and support one another. And I am thankful for a boss who cares so much about her employees that she is willing to go out of her way to help them out in crazy difficult situations. I am beyond thankful I get to work where I do and love what I do so much!
Fourth, I am thankful for my beautiful angel in heaven, my Mom. I am thankful for the time I got to have her in my life and the impact she made on me. She was the most strong and faith-filled woman I knew. She may have been small, but she was mighty. She had a big heart and cared for everyone around her. Her faith was so strong, and she let God guide her through her life, one day at a time. And on a day like today, I miss her a little extra. I miss getting to makes pies with her, decorate the house with her, and playing games with her. But I am thankful that I have those beautiful memories with her to always remember her by. And I know my Mom is always with me. I miss getting to see her smile, hear her laugh, and feel the warmth of her hugs. But I know she is watching over me and is proud of me. I am thankful for my Mom, my angel.
Lastly, I am thankful for my faith and my Church. I love getting to be a part of my Church Praise Team and sing with them every Sunday. I also don't know where I would be without my faith. God has gotten me through a lot in life and without Him, I would be lost. I don't know how people do it without believing in God, because I know I couldn't do it without God. I am so glad I have my faith to help guide me through life and get me through each and every little moment, one day at a time.
To wrap this up. There is is SO MUCH to be thankful for. Everyday there is something to find to be thankful for. And that is something I strive to do. I look for the little things in each day that I can be thankful for, even when my day is bad and I don't feel like I can be thankful. A lot of the times it easier said than done, I, definitely, don't always succeed at it. I am not perfect by any stretch of the imagination. I fail, often. But I work hard and strive to be the best I can be. So, as you enjoy your thanksgiving dinner today, think about all the things you are thankful for. Smile, laugh, and be happy. And remember to be thankful every day and find things every day to be thankful. Whether it is small or big, be thankful! Have a wonderful and blessed Thanksgiving!
